Record Breaking Results for Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form

Students and teachers are today celebrating their best ever set of A-Level results. A truly outstanding set of results sees improvement in every measure with many exceptional individual performances, including four students who will be taking up places at Oxford University.

We are very proud of our students’ hard work, which has led to a record breaking set of results for the school.  More than half of our students achieved top grades of A*-B, 84% of grades were at A*-C and 94% of our students gained 3 A Level passes, which is significantly higher than last year’s national pass rate of 76%.

Over one-third of Hayesfield Sixth Formers will take up places at highly selective Russell Group universities places compared with the 7% average for the South West of England. Ten of our students gained a prestigious set of 3 or more A Levels at grades A*/A.

Our bespoke Oxbridge and Elite course programme boasts a 100% success rate to Oxford University, with every student who received an offer taking up a place in September 2015. We have had a truly exceptional results day!

Going to Oxford in September are Iris Kaye-Smith (3A*s) reading History and English, Sophie White (2A*s,1A and 1B)reading Economics and Management, Gabrielle Lynch (2A* and 1A) reading Human Sciences, Clare Kendall (1A* and 2As) reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Other exceptional performances came from Caitlin Whiteley (2A*s, 1A, 1B) who will read Natural Sciences at Durham University, Lydia Cawthorne- Luff (2A*s,1A) History at London School of Economics, Georgina Cole (2A*,1A) English at Exeter and Emily Lomax (1A*, 2As) Pharmacology at Bath.
