Pupils at Hayesfield who are part of the school’s rowing club teamed up to complete an exhausting 24-hour rowing challenge.
The school club is made up of pupils from year nine to year 11 who are selected at the beginning of the year for their performance.
They row at Minerva Boat Club on Thursday afternoons and are coached by Hayesfield staff Chole Orchin and Fran Foster.
The challenge, on February 27, was held to raise money for club fees and much needed kit.
Head teacher Emma Yates said: “Our school motto is achieving ambitions and the action of these girls embodies that philosophy.
“The money raised from this sponsored event will allow the team to train in all weather conditions. The drive and determination show by the girls has been immense.
“They have successfully raised funds for the kit they need to achieve their ambition to be first class rowers.”
